Anchors

Anchors are specialized fasteners designed to secure objects to solid, brittle, or hollow base materials like concrete, brick, drywall, or masonry where a screw alone would not hold. Common types include plastic wall plugs, sleeve anchors, wedge anchors, toggle bolts, and concrete screws. The correct anchor must be chosen based on the base material, the weight of the object being hung, and whether the load is static or dynamic (like a pull-up bar). Using an anchor with a weight capacity lower than the load, or installing it incorrectly, can cause the fixture to fail and pull free.
