Safety Precautions

1. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

2. Secure Workpiece Properly:

   • Ensure the material is firmly clamped or secured against the fence and base before cutting to prevent movement and kickback.

3. Keep Hands Away from the Blade:

   • Always keep your hands at a safe distance from the saw blade. Use clamps or push sticks if necessary to guide the material.

4. Check the Saw Blade:

   • Inspect the blade before use for any damage, dullness, or debris buildup. A sharp, clean blade ensures smooth cuts and reduces the risk of accidents.

5. Use the Saw Guard:

   • Never operate the miter saw without the blade guard in place. The guard helps protect against accidental contact with the spinning blade.

   • Stand to the side of the blade’s path to avoid injury in case of kickback. Keep a balanced stance with feet firmly planted.

   • Let the saw reach full speed before starting the cut and apply steady, even pressure without forcing the blade.

   • Place the miter saw on a secure, flat workbench or stand to prevent tipping or shifting during use.
