Safety Precautions

1. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
   o Safety goggles or a face shield to protect against flying debris.
   o Sturdy boots with non-slip soles to protect feet.
   o Hearing protection when using loud, motorized models.

2. Inspect the Mower Before Use
   o Check for loose bolts, damaged blades, or fuel/oil leaks.
   o Ensure that safety guards and shields are in place.

3. Clear the Area
   o Remove rocks, sticks, and other objects from the mowing area to avoid blade damage or injury.
   o Keep bystanders, especially children and pets, at a safe distance.

4. Use on Stable Ground
   o Mow on dry, even terrain whenever possible.
   o Avoid steep slopes or wet grass to prevent slipping.

5. Operate Properly
   o Never tilt the mower while it’s running.
   o Push slowly and steadily—avoid rushing or jerky motions.

6. Blade Safety
   o Turn off and disconnect the power or spark plug before inspecting or replacing the blade.
   o Never place hands or feet near rotating blades.

7. Fuel Safety (for Gasoline Mowers)
   o Refuel only when the engine is cool and outdoors, away from open flames.
   o Store fuel in approved containers.

8. Electric Safety (for Corded or Battery Models)
   o Use only outdoor-rated extension cords and keep them clear of blades.
   o Avoid mowing in wet conditions to prevent electric shock.

9. Maintenance and Storage
   o Clean the deck and blades after each use.
   o Store in a dry, secure place away from children.
