The SDS-plus models (2-24 DRE, 2-24 DFR, 2-26 F, 2-28 F, 4-32 DFR) are designed for light to heavy-duty drilling and chiselling with drilling diameters up to 32mm and chisel removal rates up to 4.2 J impact energy. The SDS-max models (5-40 D, 8-45 DV, 12-52 DV) are built for heavy to extreme-duty applications with drilling diameters up to 52mm and impact energies up to 19 J for the most demanding demolition tasks. Features such as Vario-Lock, Vibration Control, and KickBack Control ensure safety and comfort during extended use.
2. Three Operating Modes for Maximum Versatility
Primary Use: Most models feature three operating modes for drilling, hammer drilling, and chiselling, allowing users to tackle a wide range of applications with a single tool.
How it helps: The rotary selector switch allows easy switching between functions. The hammer drilling mode delivers fast progress in concrete with SDS-plus or SDS-max bits. The chiselling mode enables light to heavy chiselling tasks such as chasing, tile removal, and demolition. The drilling mode with rotation only allows for drilling into wood and steel using the quick-change chuck (where included).

SECONDARY USES
1. Core Cutting: Capable of drilling up to 68mm diameter with core cutters in masonry (2-28 F and above).
2. Drilling in Wood: Drills into wood up to 30-50mm diameter using the quick-change chuck.
3. Drilling in Steel: Drills into metal up to 13-16mm diameter.
4. Heavy Chiselling: Suitable for heavy chiselling tasks such as demolition, chasing, and breaking in concrete and stone (SDS-max models).
5. Scabbling: Surface preparation and roughening of concrete surfaces.

1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety goggles, hearing protection, and heavy-duty gloves. Use respiratory protection when drilling in materials that generate dust (silica from concrete and masonry).
Electrical Safety: Check power cord for damage before use. Do not operate in wet conditions. Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when drilling where hidden wiring may be contacted.
Dust Hazard: Drilling in concrete and masonry generates silica dust. Use appropriate respiratory protection (at least P2 or N95 mask) and dust extraction where possible.
Kickback Hazard: Maintain a firm grip and proper stance. Be prepared for sudden reactions if the bit jams. The Rotation Control Clutch provides additional user protection.

3. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flammability: The tool is not flammable, but plastic casing may burn if exposed to fire. Dust accumulation at the workplace can ignite.
Extinguishing Media: Use water spray, foam, dry chemical powder, or carbon dioxide (CO₂) for fires involving tools.
