Larox filter plates are engineered components for Metso Larox® automatic pressure filters, available in stainless steel and polypropylene with filtration areas per plate of 0.9 to 6.0 m² depending on the filter model. Plate sizes include 900 x 1750mm, 1050 x 2400mm, and 1500 x 4010mm for PF 1.6, 15, and 48/60 series respectively. Chamber depths range from 30 to 75mm. Available in PF 1.6, 12, 15, 48, and 60 Series with polypropylene plates available from size 6.3 m² and up. Suitable for mining, mineral processing, and industrial wastewater applications.

Primary Use: Filter plates are the core components of Larox® automatic pressure filters, used for solid-liquid separation in mining, mineral processing, and industrial applications. Essential for dewatering concentrates, tailings, and other process slurries to recover valuable solids and produce clean water.
How it helps: For process engineers and plant operators, Larox filter plates are designed for long life and corrosion resistance, with each chamber having its own filtration area on both sides for maximum efficiency. Polypropylene filter plates are available for Larox PF 1.6, 12, and 15 filters, while steel plates are also offered for demanding applications. Metso’s plastic filter plates are engineered for unmatched reliability in corrosive environments, with a one-piece plate body supported by a stainless steel frame for lightweight durability and corrosion resistance.

Primary Use: Larox filter plates feature specialised sealing components, diaphragms, and vats that work together for optimal filtration performance.
How it helps: Sealing flats are filter plate components that ensure the perfect sealing of the filter chamber, manufactured from high-quality materials able to withstand compression for tens of thousands of cycles while retaining their shape. The pressing diaphragm compresses the cake through diaphragm pressing, transforming the force of pressing air or water into mechanical pressing while protecting the plate against corrosion and forming a sealing frame. The filter vats are engineered for wear and creeping resistance with plastic material selection optimised for molecular weight and polymer properties to prolong lifetime in demanding mining applications.

1. High-Temperature and Chemical Applications: Plastic plates are the ideal choice for small and mid-size PF filters in industrial applications with highly corrosive chemical composition of slurries, with a temperature range up to 90°C and FDA & Chemi range for industrial filtration.
2. Replacement Solutions: Custom manufactured polypropylene filter plates are available to replace original stainless steel plates in vertical tower presses, offering cost-effective alternatives with highly efficient drainage surfaces to improve cloth life and performance.
3. SAFETY HANDLING PRECAUTIONS

1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
