The R 9600, R 9400, and R 9800 mining excavators are designed to keep costs per tonne to a minimum . The new R 917 Compact G8 (17.5t, 136 hp) offers a compact tail swing radius of 1,700mm for working in tight spaces, while the R 915 Compact G8 (15t, 122 hp) replaces the R 914 Compact G6 with enhanced performance .

2. Generation 8 Technology and INTUSI Operating Concept

Primary Use: Liebherr’s latest Generation 8 excavators feature the new INTUSI operating concept for efficient, intuitive machine control and enhanced operator comfort .

How it helps: The new operator’s cab with futuristic design is being rolled out across all Liebherr earthmoving machines. INTUSI provides an adaptive, intuitive interface that supports operators with suitable functions for efficient machine usage . The R 915, R 917, and R 920 G8 models feature reduced tail swing, optimized hydraulics, and improved kinematics to reduce the need for repositioning .

SECONDARY USES

1. MyAssistant for Earthmoving App: Liebherr’s new smartphone app provides access to digital operator’s manuals, spare parts catalogues, and scanning function for unknown control symbols. Available for wheeled and crawler excavators of Generation 6.0/8.0 and higher .

2. Hydraulic Components: Pumps, motors, control valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings. Reman exchange components available for hydraulic pumps, motors, and cylinders .

3. Engine Systems: Diesel engines (including D9812 for mining models), fuel systems, filters, starters, and injection components. Reman exchange diesel engines available .
