Safety Precautions

1. Wear Appropriate PPE:

   • Use safety goggles or a face shield to protect eyes from sawdust and flying debris.

   • Wear hearing protection to guard against noise.

   • Use dust masks or respirators to avoid inhaling fine dust particles.

   • Wear gloves designed for woodworking but avoid loose-fitting gloves that could catch in the blade.

2. Check the Saw Before Use:

   • Inspect blade condition, tension, and tracking before starting the machine.

   • Ensure all guards and safety devices are in place and functioning.

3. Secure Workpieces:

   • Use clamps or jigs to hold wood securely during cutting.

   • Never hold small pieces directly by hand near the blade.

4. Maintain Proper Blade Speed and Feed:

   • Adjust blade speed according to wood type and thickness.

   • Feed wood steadily without forcing it into the blade to avoid kickbacks.

5. Keep Hands Clear:

   • Maintain a safe distance between hands and the moving blade at all times.

   • Use push sticks or push blocks for small or narrow cuts.

6. Maintain Clean Work Area:

   • Remove sawdust buildup regularly to prevent slipping and fire hazards.

   • Keep floor free of obstructions to maintain stable footing.

7. Turn Off and Unplug Before Adjustments:

   • Always switch off power and unplug the saw before changing blades, cleaning, or servicing.

8. Avoid Loose Clothing and Jewelry:

   • Do not wear loose sleeves, jewelry, or accessories that can get caught in moving parts.

9. Read the Manual:

   • Follow manufacturer’s instructions on setup, operation, and maintenance.

10. Emergency Preparedness:

    • Know the location of emergency stops or power cut-offs.

    • Have a first aid kit nearby for potential injuries.
